based on the current Judicial College Guidelines, which Scottish courts use as a
framework for valuing injuries. They represent the range of awards made in real cases
and give you a reliable starting point for understanding what your claim may be worth.
The actual value of your settlement will also take into account additional losses you
have suffered as a direct result of your injury - including lost earnings, medical
treatment costs, rehabilitation expenses, and travel costs. These are claimed on top
of the figures shown below and can add substantially to the overall value of your case.
It is important to understand what these figures mean in practice when you choose
